- Payment expectations
- Monthly Payment is due at the beginning of the month
- Individual Payment is due at the lesson time
- Please provide your child with a suitable space to practice
- This includes making sure they have appropriate equipment, like a music stand, and good lighting
- Their bedroom is a perfectly fine space to practice
- Please help your child be diligent with their practicing
- Only through their daily work will they progress at a reasonable rate
- Please provide 24 hour notice at least if you plan on missing a lesson
- Exceptions for sickness and family emergencies, of course
- Failure to provide notice and missing a lesson will incur a charge for that lesson
- I will do my best to reschedule, but that might not be possible

- Materials: All students are expected to bring the following items to the lesson
- Instrument and associated equipment (reeds, mouthpiece, etc.)
- Music (including pieces, etude books, etc.)
- Notebook or writing paper of some kind
- Pencil
- Be healthy!
- If you are sick, please let me know by text/phone/email and do not show up for your lesson.
- Be ready to learn!
- You may think something I'm teaching is odd or pointless.
- Trust me that I will never waste your time with worthless exercises.
- I push you because I KNOW you can do it

- Lessons are NOT a guided practice session.
- Apply what I teach during the week so we can proceed to new techniques.
- The amount of work given can be discussed at each lesson

- The more time you spend working correctly, the faster you will progress

- I will be polite and courteous while holding students accountable for their work
- I will provide as much information as I can about music, at the appropriate time
- I will listen to student concerns and work with them towards solutions
- I will be punctual and prepared
